White Settlement Fire Department

The White Settlement Fire Department protects residents, businesses, and visitors in the City of White Settlement. The city's adopted budget identifies fire suppression, fire-safety education, emergency medical services, swift-water rescue, and hazardous-materials mitigation among the department's services. The city has also publicly identified WSFD as an ISO Class 1 department.^{[2] [5]}

The FY 2025-2026 budget identifies 21 fire-department FTEs and describes a three-shift organization led by the Fire Chief, with captains, engineers, firefighters, and administrative support. Rick Sanderson has served as Fire Chief since April 26, 2023.^{[2] [4]}

WSFD is listed as a Tarrant County Emergency Services District No. 1 contracted fire provider. The city's FY 2025-2026 budget also identifies regional EMS service under a contract with the City of Fort Worth that began in June 2025.^{[11] [2]}

WSFD operates within Tarrant County's regional fire-service network and is listed as a Tarrant County ESD No. 1 contracted fire provider. The district describes its provider model as supporting coordinated fire, rescue, EMS, and emergency-preparedness coverage. ^[11]

A March 2026 major fire provides a recent public example of regional aid: White Settlement credited the Tarrant County Fire Marshal's Office and Lockheed Martin, Lake Worth, Benbrook, and Fort Worth fire departments for assistance.
